Wise Words from a Cimmerian Alumnus

Due to unforeseen circumstances, this week’s blog will also be a rather short one.

Following on from a rather bizarre conversation on the Official Robert E. Howard forums regarding Howard’s sexual orientation, Mark Finn–Cimmerian alumnus and author of Blood and Thunder: The Life and Art of Robert E. Howard–has some wise words to say on the subject of speculation regarding our favorite author.

If you are a newcomer, please take a little time to browse these forums. Look especially at the pinned topics, as they contain the most prevalent, most up-to-date, and most accurate info out there regarding who’s who and what’s what in the REH-verse. If you still have questions, please don’t be afraid to ask them. But, also, please let us know that you are new, and if you have a speculation to make, be sure that you know it’s just that: your take on things. There are, of course, a lot of unanswered questions about REH out there–but there are also a lot of sources for answers you seek that you may not know about. That’s why so many of the experts, scholars, and appreciators are here at the forums. All that we ask is that you keep an open mind, and provided that everyone in the discussion is respectful (not usually a problem here), we’ll do the same for you.
